Biography: Laurence D. Ackerman was born in New York City. He received a B.A. in English from Carnegie-Mellon University and an M.S. in communications from Boston University. He is a senior vice president of Siegel & Gale, an international consultancy specializing in business transformation through corporate brand management and interactive communications.
Larry began his consulting career with Yankelovich, Skelly & White before joining Anspach Grossman Portugal in 1981. He left to found Identica, along with two others, in 1985 where he developed much of his early theory on identity-based management. Returning to AGP in 1989 as a partner, Larry spent most of the next decade refining his ideas and applying them to a broad cross section of clients around the world. His industry experience is diverse, ranging from health care, manufacturing, and consumer products to financial and professional services and utilities.
